D.C.’s female condom giveaway first for U.S. city

Advocates of the FC2, a female condom approved by the FDA, say the new version is less costly and more user friendly. They hope the female condom will be used to protect against AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. The first city program to distribute female condoms free is an official acknowledgment of the futility of relying solely on the use of male condoms.
