Restaurant Nutritional Labeling In Our [Not So Near] Future

One by-product of the Health Care bill that passed in March is Section 2572, which requires that chain restaurants with 20 or more locations and owners of 20 or more vending machines display nutritional and calorie information. While this is a boon to consumers, the restaurant industry was not entirely joyous over the new requirement. And it is taking longer to implement than initially allotted by the government. Hence, the dragging heels ploy has worked and U.S. regulators will be allowing businesses more time to implement calorie and nutritional labeling.
