Australian employers added 10,100 workers in October from the previous month, the statistics bureau said in Sydney today. That compared with the median estimate for a 10,000 increase in a Bloomberg News survey of 24 economists. The jobless rate was 5.2 percent last month.

MF Global Holdings Ltd. had its credit ratings cut to the lowest investment grade by Moody’s Investors Service after the broker run by former New Jersey governor Jon Corzine failed to reach earnings targets and on concern risk management isn’t sufficient.

Asian stocks fell, driving the regional benchmark index toward its biggest drop in two weeks, as China said its economy grew at the slowest pace in two years, feeding global growth concerns after Germany damped expectations of a fast resolution to Europe’s debt crisis.
